Practice Scoring Essays Activity

Today you will use the English 2 STAAR Persuasive Writing Rubric to practice scoring some sample essays. (Please note that once you open the sample essays, you may have to download the file in order to rotate them right-side up.)

You will read each essay and decide what score it would receive on the STAAR test. Then explain why you gave it that score, and support your explanation with text evidence from the STAAR Writing Rubric.
