OMM Ch. 3 APMCs - Pre-AP

Time to practice some more APMCs, or AP-style multiple choice questions. Remember they are written at an AP level, so they are more difficult than the type of multiple choice questions you are used to.

Therefore, each question will be followed by a textbox in which you MUST provide text evidence from the passage AND explain why your answer is correct and/or how the text evidence proves your answer. You must do BOTH to get full points.

Completing this step and showing me your thought process for choosing an answer will be worth more than getting the correct answer. To clarify, here's how this assignment will be graded:

• There are 8 questions. Each question is worth 12 points.
• If you get the wrong answer, but you HAVE provided text evidence and an explanation, you will only lose 5 of the 12 points for that question.
• If you get the wrong answer, and you DID NOT provide text evidence and an explanation, you will lose all 12 points for that question.
• If you get the right answer, but you DID NOT provide text evidence and an explanation, you will lose 7 of the 12 points for that question.

Notice that giving text evidence and explanation is worth more than simply having the correct answer.

Read the passage from Ch. 3 of Of Mice and Men which begins "During the conversation" and ends "'just kick him out, Slim'" carefully before you choose your answers.
